Nutrition and Hydration Awareness

This course is designed to provide staff with an introduction to Nutrition and Hydration awareness and the needs of their clients including how best to enable them to choose and consume food and drink by mouth, the effect of food on the body and general heath, the key minerals and nutrients required by the body, malnutrition and the implications of malnutrition on the individual.  This course can be amended to include content on healthy eating and lifestyle rather than a focus on the elderly and malnutrition.
