Mental Capacity and Deprivation of Liberties Awareness

The Mental Capacity Act (MCA) came into force in 2007 and was designed to strengthen the protection of vulnerable adults. This was followed in 2009 by The Deprivation of Liberties Safeguards (DOLS). This course explains the MCA, gaining consent, best interests and its relationship to DOLS and how those working within care can ensure compliance within their job role.
